Jackson Lodge #42 is proud to partner with Lakeview Elementary to launch the Bikes for Books program in Centerville!
Each month, students in grades K–5 work to achieve their Accelerated Reader (AR) goals. Every child who meets their monthly reading goal will have their name entered into a drawing at the end of the school year to win a brand-new bicycle and helmet.
The average cost of a bike and helmet is $140, and our goal is to award as many students as possible so they can start their summer with an incredible reward for their hard work.
We are currently seeking donations to support this program. One hundred percent of all funds raised will go directly toward purchasing bikes and safety equipment.
We are especially thankful to Bryan Baker and Mark Taylor for their support in helping us launch this initiative. With community backing, we hope to make Bikes for Books an annual tradition that encourages literacy and rewards achievement.
